June 14 “It’s me – Gracie!”. | June 15 No words to describe Lulu sometimes. | June 16 We built an aquarium-in-a-jar for homeschool. | June 17 Gymnastics Wednesday – Straddle Jumps on the big trampolines. | June 18 Unplanned road trip = passing out hard.. | June 19 Grace never had a Cozy Coupe – when she was old enough for it, she was already (almost) too big for them. That does not stop her from still trying. | June 20 Playing video games with Grandma.
June 21 Noisy neighbors interrupting a VERY necessary nap makes for a long and slow waking up process. | June 22 Sven is ALWAYS on guard. | June 23 When your child plays on the playground that YOU played on when you were her age. | June 24 If not for the uncontrollable giggling coming from this pile, I would worry that they were fighting. | June 25 I was gifted this beautiful blue/black orchid. I do NOT have a good track record with orchids. Let’s see how this goes. | June 26 I love when I find toys posed like this. | June 27 Went to see Inside Out. Took a picture with the minions.
June 28 Ocean fun continues with water beads and miniature sea creatures. | June 29 Of course I bought the paper towels for Grace to play with. Why do YOU buy paper towels?. | June 30 Working very diligently on her workbook. WHY does she look like a upper elementary school kid?!?!.
This year we decided to visit a “small town” near our house. Chappell Hill is about 40 minutes away, but it was SO worth the trip to experience their Independence Day Parade.
Grace had a lot of fun, except for the very noisy parts.
And, I got to have some fun with my camera.
The motorcycles were “too loud,” but she still wanted to be able to see.

Our niece/cousin Sloane celebrated her third birthday last weekend. We made the road trip to Tulsa and had a LOT of fun at her art party.

May 10 Mother’s day selfie. | May 11 When the three-year-old asks to go to the “green place where you get a salad,” you go to the green-place-where-you-get-a-salad. Salata is one of our favorite places anymore. | May 12 When you get new rain boots, you HAVE to test them out. After every rain. | May 13 Gymnastics Wednesday – Perfecting a pike on the bar. | May 14 Lulu approves of the new sofa/love seat. Phew. | May 15 I did it. Grace got her first haircut – courtesy of her scissor-happy mom. | May 16 We supported Brian running in the Renaissance Run and Grace got to run through the color section, too.
May 17 Who needs a pool. | May 18 Dentist appointment. Did not go so well. Had to make a second appointment to finish. | May 19 Hera does NOT approve of 2 (of three) weeks of rain every day. | May 20 Gymnastics Wednesday – She LOVES jumping into the pit, now. She refused to do it for so long. | May 21 Twenty-something miles from home, just getting to the library, and we have this storm roll in. It rolled through in the 30 minutes that we were inside, but then I drove through it twice due to traffic. | May 22 Quiet from the kitchen and I turn around to her deep in concentration (all with her own, approved materials and tools). | May 23 This little guy lives near our trash cans – which are just outside our master bathroom window. Just about every night I see him hunting his dinner.
May 24 First fruit – okay, vegetable – from our garden. Not too shabby. | May 25 Memorial Day – we ate at a BBQ restaurant and grilled hot dogs and had fresh fruit for dinner. We don’t try to hard on the summer holidays. | May 26 Round two at the dentist went better and they were able to complete all of the work. She was not happy, but she was back to normal quicker this time. | May 27 Gymnastics Wednesday – Flips on the bar. | May 28 The Troll Bridge is THE place to be. | May 29 Working on fluid dynamics – studying water and oil. | May 30 Freebirds as a family. Grace’s deconstructed burrito was a hit.

Apr 01 Gymnastics Wednesday – Stretch Jumps on the big trampolines. | Apr 02 At a playground with a real metal merry-go-round. It brings back a LOT of memories for me. | Apr 03 Painting Easter eggs. | Apr 04 Bunny Brunch at our church. She visited and hugged the Easter Bunny four times.
Apr 05 Happy Easter! | Apr 06 She wanted to wear her ears on our trip to Target. I made MANY people smile. | Apr 07 Grace’s Hot Dog Truck. | Apr 08 Gymnastics Wednesday – Jump, Grace!. | Apr 09 ROUGH night. Grace and I both had severe allergies this week and it peaked for Grace this night – she woke herself up coughing and when I was trying to get her medicine to help her, she coughed so hard she vomited all over herself and her bed. Quick hose-off in the bath, new pjs, and new bedding fixed the mess. Two hours of snuggling in the rocking chair helped the rest. | Apr 10 Made it to Grandma and Grandpa’s for Uncle Kevin’s surprise party weekend. Brian did just fine impersonating a jungle gym for Grace and Sloane. | Apr 11 At the surprise party – Grace ate the green frosting grass, asked me to lick the chocolate frosting off, and then ate the cupcake herself. Okay, then.
Apr 12 Too much partying with the family makes for a quite road trip home. | Apr 13 Playing hide and seek with Brian. | Apr 14 Out of nowhere, one day Grace brought one of her white chairs into the living room and set up her own desk. | Apr 15 Gymnastics Wednesday – getting worn out on the big trampolines. | Apr 16 Knick knack paddy whack on my toe. | Apr 17 Three-year-old selfie. | Apr 18 When you are too big for your tent, you make do.
Apr 19 Lulu’s very rough life. | Apr 20 How I make it up to Grace after a long day of a lot of errands. | Apr 21 The Amaryllis that we planted last year, came back this year with a vengeance. Beautiful blooms from all 12 plants this spring. | Apr 22 Gymnastics Wednesday – side-by-side (pre)hand stands with her buddy Abigail. | Apr 23 Brian got food poisoning or the flu.
